THE OPPORTUNITY

As Innovation Manager Mental Health (IM) , you will be primarily responsible for project management of healthcare pathway optimization. You will be accountable for the driving of partnerships between relevant internal & external stakeholders, bringing them to a joint effort of understanding care gaps in the assigned Therapeutic Area (Mental Health) and committing to address them by e.g. defining KPI’s and timelines for implementation.

Furthermore, you will execute strategies and activities related to guidelines on a National level, SAM strategy and first point of contact for external Strategic accounts with a national impact (implementing project steering committee recommendations and driving consensus across the relevant hospitals/clinics).

This role is based in our office in Amsterdam , in the new EDGE Amsterdam West (https://edge.tech/developments/edge-amsterdam-west) , a building with a modern and very sustainable architecture. This is a role that requires frequent travelling (up to 50% of the time).

You will report directly to the Head of Market Access & HC Affairs.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a project plan & committed team (stakeholders) to develop & implement (e)Health concepts/ Care programs within the (focus) indication areas, in line with brand strategies.

  • Provide input to annually strategic and operational brand plan (ICP).

  • Oversee the scientific intent and potential value and impact of planned initiatives within the care pathway optimization and liaise between internal Core Team and external steering committee about which projects to pursue (bottleneck analysis & project prioritization).

  • Amplify the care pathway optimization program through initiatives that builds more HCP/PO ambassadors to amplify efforts of steering national EEs/HCPs.

  • Build and manage internal & external relationships with relevant stakeholders according to a transparent annual plan with concrete objectives & deadlines.

  • Structurally collect and exchange information and insights with all relevant stakeholders, within all relevant teams.

  • Signaling knowledge & information gaps and propose training requirements.

  • Lead projects and teams/persons to drive the innovation activities.

  • Preparing, implementing, leading and monitoring the progress of (Disease Management & Health Care) projects.

  • Timely identification and reporting of potential bottlenecks. Contingency planning on the basis of these evaluations.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • You have a master’s degree, PhD in Medicine, Pharmacology, Life Sciences or similar.

  • 5 years of experience in a scientific, clinical, or pharmaceutical environment (ideally in the field of mental health e.g., through clinical experience or medical affairs/market access/healthcare affairs).

  • Knowledge of European Healthcare systems and its relevant multidisciplinary stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional decision making.

  • Business acumen, scientific mindset and you work autonomously.

  • Ability to process & simplify complex information.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

  • Experience working in cross-border teams and / or in an international environment.

  • Ability to effectively build & manage relationships with different stakeholders internally & externally.

  • Outstanding strategic, tactical & project management skills.

  • Strong in influence and persuasion abilities.

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with a growth mindset, be open to and drive changes.

  • “Beyond the brand” thinking & ability to build bridges.
