Our Field Technicians support end-users by remote support and occasionally at the client’s site. By working within many client environments and as a part of a highly-skilled technical team, the chosen candidate will accelerate his/her learning path, technical skill sets, and personal net worth. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package. The Filed Technician works well under pressure, can multitask, and engages in emergency technical support. The Filed Technician is a core part of the operations team and is customer-focused with managed services experience. This individual serves in a technical leadership role. Types of projects include email migrations and upgrades; O365 migrations; full-scale migrations to Cloud-based solutions (Office 365/AWS/Azure); storage implementations (SAN); platform infrastructure creation; virtual technologies (Hyper-V/VMware), routing, firewall, wireless, and switching; and Active Directory support and migrations.
VeraPro is currently seeking an experienced Field Technician to join the team.
Position Type: Full Time with weekend availability
Location: Prairieville, LA
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/light lifting
Travel Requirements: Occasional office visits
Essential Functions:
Provide remote support to end-users and client network administrators to resolve a wide variety of IT issues
Resolve numerous service requests each day
Support various versions of desktop operating systems (Windows 10, Mac, etc.)
Work with 3rd party vendors to support client line-of-business applications
Troubleshoot and repair personal computers
Troubleshoot VPN connectivity issues
Group policy updates
Server builds
Troubleshoot Wireless performance or configuration issues
Monitor client backups and remediate backup failures
Administer client Office 365 accounts and troubleshoot email delivery issues
Detect and remove viruses and malware
Precisely document problems and resolutions steps
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 1-year experience in IT supporting end-users
Experience helping users with remote control technology
Experience supporting the Microsoft product stack
Strong customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate
Attention to detail

Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5 years experience in IT supporting end-users
